well well well here the tym has come for the last ever blogging before deadline :S and well wat can i say i think ive done an unbelieveably gd job (Y)(Y) u may call me big headed but well this is part of PPRD Personal Planning Reflection Development

and hmm lets see its about me (Personal check) its about wat ive done and what ive been doing (Planning check) ive looked back on the thisngs i didnt like sumthings ive changed oppinions on but others not so (Reflection check) and well ive started it at the begining of the course its now near the end and hey the hole blog thing to me is new so hahahaha (development check)

The Jo Report!

after my meeting today with Jo all i can is its going swell well actually brillian i did some prelimany designs for her and asked for a meeting as to discuss further which 1's she would like me to develop to possibly enter her actually collection it seems promising as she asked me to develop 9 designs !! yay nearly a collection in it's self hahaha but hmmmm time is of the essence but i shall do it non the less hahahaha yet again more to my work load :( but i rele enjoy this and its helping me develop my skills at the same time as being an unmissable oppertunity :)

fantabric

WOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOO my fabric came 2 day and ther sooo gd (Y) :D
the neoprene is a bit thicker than i thought but it shud go through the machine easily well hopefully fingers crossed but my neon jersey ribbing is amazing i love it!!! i want it just for a t shirt its amazing i love the colour ohhh i cant wait to actually make it noive digitised most of my pattern pieces well all of jeans and tee so its near the stage of being ready to cut just gotta do my lectra changes and were neally done ohh this is so exciting cant wait for collection time :D:D

appointment

ohhh ive got an appointment with Jo to go few some of my designs and then she can see if im heading in the right dirrection or wat and pick out some that she wants me to develop ohh this is gonna be gd i shall report back with how well it goes

the never ending list !!

ohh blinkin heck i almost 4gots whilst doing all this i have also applied to be a student ambassidor which ive sent the application form off ages ago but gotta prepare for that if i get the oppertunity, ive also done the Beals scholarship grant but just have to find 1 more pic to submit which i think is gonna be of my latest toil...... but will this work load ever lighten :'( it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger

Suits Shane!!

well me an my m8 Shane got talkin and he was like u reckon u cud make me a taylored suit i was like yeah dont see y not so i have also now gained another task to add to the list of making shane a suit! ive told him it wont be for a wile cuz i got alot o work on atm but he then even had the cheek to say i cud make it him 4 his bday but hey i love the dude, i mean my m8s mean everything to me and well 1 good turn deserves another thers a slight prob tho this aint just gonna be a case of block tracing!! i shud go into a lil back ground Shane is a very muscle-y american football player with a scholarship to a academy in america so there is no hope in hell a size 38 " chest is gonne fit the kid, so not only have i gotta majorly adapt the block but also then have a few intimate measuring sessions with him which shall be interesting hahaha mind u it aint exactly nothing i seen before but yeah its gonna involve doing several fitting sessions as well this is fine taylormanship at its finest, plus hes my m8 dont wanna let him down. plus i think this may involve a few chats with Jodie bout several finishe's but hey ive got till june. but shall be good looking 4ward to it ;)

experience's of the work variety

During the New York week off i did a placement in my old 6th form on the sly just because i love helping pple and teaching them new things expanding their horizons and just inspiring them so i thought id make most of it and were i came from and asked the new textiles teacher if i cud cum in and mentor and help the 6th formers out with their studies, she said she'd love me to.......
so i did and i loved every bit of it teaching the kids new techniques and even the teacher haha but i just love textiles its my passion and something i sorely miss and sumtyms wounder am i on the right cours??? hmmm its debateable i do love fashion and its sum thing me and sarah discussed on my interview weather it was the course for me or not but i think it is ive just lost touch with the textiler in me and going back just made me realise how much i did love every bit of it so i think from now on im gonna combine the 2 for next year which is gonna mean major major loss in free time but im willing to do it i miss free hand embroidery embellishing and so much more playing and experimenting with random things like tyvec and creating new things out of fabric but it was a great experience which i loved doing just working and helping out, so wen evs im free and at home im gonna go in an just help them out give up my time see them se how they progressed and just help them more cuz its sumthing i love , plus i said to lucie-the teacher id knock up a few blocks for her which shud be easy done wont take long and its to help out the place that spawned me taught me all i no i kinda owe em :)

As we know i had the rediculose idea of neoprene and to actually make this feasable it had to be thin so on my hunt ive found a place with the correct thinness neoprene and it has to be shipped from america and ive also found some ribbings that i needed on that website too, so thought might aswell put it all in 1 package and have it all shipped and delivered to uni but guess the price???????????

BLOODY £185 IVE SPENT ON FRICKEN FABRIC

its more irritating espically as we dont even no if its gonna work but its wat my project was based around so guess kinda have to keep to ideas but it's a fricken lot of dosh for 1 outfit that might not even get shown but hey im a crazy kinda guy, i just dont like ordering fabrics wen i cant physically look at them or feal them get to touch them so they cud even not be the ideal fabrics im looking for but ohhh well fingers crossed hopefully they shud be here by mon if customs hasnt decided to hold them :S fingers crossed not

toil review

AZ I LOVE U!! she actually gave me 1 of the biggest compliments of my life after rinsing me during tutorials, lol. she said i have a natural nack 4 turning flats into garment and that i shud look into it as a job, its summat id love doing and wud love to do as a job and the review went fantastic just gotta make a few slight adjustments and its all grand :D

well following the careers advice presentation we had last week i thought shit if i want a job in design i may have to do a hell of a lot but wat cud i do????? i didnt no but then i had a massive brain wave our buying and merchandising tutor has her own business doesnt she......... and she said she doesnt have any designers ............. so i put 2 an2 together and asked if i cud design for her to see if she liked my work which she cud show to her design company and perhaps some of my designs might make it into the range which would be awesome talk about making a name for your self which im so excited to do an to get into the time plan of things and see how they work out hey you could be looking at the future head of design of kyte kids lmao ... i wish

today we also had out tutorails which were so helpful Az helped me sort my colours issues and give me ideas to work on and play with which im gonna love, she thinks im barkin 4 actually forkin out for this bloody neoprene (it's tre expensive :(:( ) but its wat my idea on this topic is all based round so i feel i need to but its gonna be so fun 2 play with i mean has it been done??? i think not i like beint the first to do things and this 1 i feel is gonna work :D
also had tutorial with jo 2day bout the styling progress which i thought id basically finished, but well i just gotta modify it a tadd which is easy enuff and do a few follow up sheets but shes loving the work im cummin up with and the brand logo name the style and its workin its all gel'in together and looks great

made i laff that my project ive now made and i quote VERY COMMERCIAL - her words not mine lol which i think is great seening i was having alot of trouble doing that but appaz ive just done it naturally and made it work and it looks good woop woop im just on a high :D

toil and error

well the first toil was semi sucessful well all goos apart from the hoona and when i attaches the sleeves :S but the after a discussion with pat and jane we decided it looked better with short sleeves but i didnt wanna loose the cuff detailing i loved so we decided to instead of scrap it but add a long sleeved jersey t under which i thinks gonna be sick m8.we checked the pattern and adapted the 1st toil to make chnages 4 toil number 2 and that was alot more sucessful mainly due to the changes and change in fabric except i had a few lets call them pokey bits, but a fully working hood this tym lol. so me and jane addapted it again and i convinced her it still needs to be taken in and made more snug or budy huggin if u will so weve addapted the pattern again and gotta make the changes on the toil and hope its ready 4 thurs 4 the big review which i also gotta knocek up a t shirt 4 but hey that wont even take an hour lol ohh im excited t looks great i cant wait woop woop

bleedin-HOOD

k k k k k so the jacket pattern was completly rediculose and a rediculose pattern makes for rediculose sewing, but 1 soldgered on and prevailed and it works!!!! well kinda hood complete fail it looks like a giagantic collar but floopy. :( but all else worked out brilliantly gonna need to make a few tiny ajdjustments to the pattern to add to the body huggingness, but only like a cm or 2 here and ther and a undaer-arm dart, but hood needs to be completely changed but hey hey this is y we make toils loves it :D:D

jersey jersey jersey the word just reminds me of the film cyote ugly hahaha if u seen it u'll understand wat im on bout, but ne way back to the land of fabrics and fashion ohh my views on jersey i like it was wearing the t i made all day was a good fit supprisingly but i found it really easy to work with and well the kansai machines arnt that bad definaltly temprimental but they good at heart i really enjoyed it and found the workshops really helpful even if they were a bit quick -me as jersey man :D-

im tre tre tre excited i am now modeling for a girl in costume which shall be fun had 2 have my measuring session the other day was fun espically the GIRTH lmao but yeah and woo hopefully as im helping her she may be able to help me in the near future espically as costume have access to far more interesting things than us ohh im giddy we shall see :D

to toil or not to toil.........?

hmmmmmm well i may have mad a few silly mistakes with my seam allowance :S:S Caroline absolute darlin helped me make it work and it looks fantastic but its only a toil we can correct it now toils are meant for you to find your mistakes and ohh boy ive found a few let me tell ya!! but i shall ammend my pattern and toil again i mean ive got 2 weeks plenty o tym. plus tho some parts went a tadd wrong my jeans still look pretty funky i belive i shall nab them after they finished being marked but will have to be taken up bloody darn tall models grrr

i believe if u no u never want 2 do nething like that then you shudnt have to!! I no foundations all bout gettin a taste of everything but i mean 4 petes sake this is an arts institute, if i wanted to do buying and merchandising i wuda done a bleeding business course. Im soz but it just bores the crap outa me dont get me wrong the tutors are loverly, but to me they're preaching bout the joys of this side of fashion has fallen on death ears. again my problem has arissen  im not thinking commerically enough she likes the designs but only certain aspect as its not exactly wearable on the high street  well meh this is wat makes life more fun the rogues the 1s that stand out and make that difference so now to comercialise it up i gotta design a pair o jeans to be combined with my neoprene love but then is that gonna work  do i want it to work well ive gotta to make this project work aint i ohhhh foooey

ohhhh this wounderful topic has had me bafffeled for quite sometym but i believe ive figgured wat i wanna do alryty picture this a nice jacket or all in 1 outfit or seperate garments all outa neoprene,  i just love the material and the skin tightyness of it the body hugging element, and just play around with it see wat comes but using like all the pannel seaming like on the wetsuits, this topic is about playing around and having fun  see wat can happen and change some boundries thats wat this topics about and thats wat i intend to do !!!!!
